ARRIVE ROME On arrival in Rome, you will be met and transferred by a chauffeur driven car to your hotel. In the evening, rediscover the Eternal City on the Illuminated Rome tour (optional). Overnight in Rome. DAY 2 ROME Today, experience the history, art and architecture of Rome on an Open Bus tour. Later you can visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on an optional tour. Overnight in Rome. (B) DAY 3 ROME – FLORENCE (1 ½ HR)Today arrive into Florence, the birthplace of the renaissance. In the afternoon enjoy an optional excursion to Pisa, home of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Enjoy a walking tour of Pisa. Overnight in Florence. (B) DAY 4 FLORENCE This morning enjoy a city tour of Florence visiting Piazzale Michelangelo, Piazza del Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery of St. John. Overnight in Florence. (B) DAY 5 FLORENCE The day is free or travel through the countryside of the Chianti region on a tour to the famous Tuscan cities of Sienna and San Gimignano on an optional tour. Overnight in Florence. (B) DAY 6 FLORENCE – ASSISI (2 ½ HRS) This morning, travel to Assisi, one of Italy’s prime tourist attractions, the birthplace of St Francis. Overnight in Assisi. (B) DAY 7 ASSISI Today visit the Church of St Claire and the temple dedicated to the Roman goddess of wisdom on your own. Also visit St Francis’ Basilica. Overnight in Assisi. (B) DAY 8 ASSISI – ROME (2 ½ HRS) This morning travel back to Rome. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own and enjoy some last minute shopping. Overnight in Rome. (B) DAY 9 DEPART ROME Today, you have time free until departure. Later you will be transferred by a chauffeur driven car to the airport for your flight back home. (B) |
